Today at 8 56 AM Two Stars f f fantasyI received this book from Inked.
Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
A very short tale about Knights and witches, nice to see females taking traditionally male roles The novelette was rather short, predictable and concluded with a very foreseeable ending.
5 starsI was given this book to read in exchange for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads I loved this short story It s predicable in a sense, and not in another sense, and there s one particular aspect that makes this story right up my alley I loved personalities woven throughout this I had a great sense of who the characters were, what their motivations were and they were clear and present in the moment The world that was created is full and detailed but without boring overture I was worried about that in the beginning, but the plot picks up quickly enough that it didn t distract I also absolutely love the way this is written It s very poetic and stylized It fits the piece to a T and brings the reader into the world that is being created It reminds me very much of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Beowulf in terms of poetic nature.

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads In many ways, this novella is a typical knight s tale our knight must defeat the monster, and in so doing, win the hand of the lady Complications arise as the lady in question is a demon witch who also takes the role of the monster, giving our knight an immediate conflict of interest So far, so cliched But perhaps the main point of this story is the knight is a woman, one of an order sworn to protect their fairytale land, and the love story is a lesbian romance by keeping everything else the same, these differences are brought to the fore I was a little unconvinced by the pacing there s a lengthy sex scene after what I would usually consider the ending , but it was a fun idea.
I m not really sure about how to comment on this short story I don t want to be too harsh, cause all in all it s been a quick and enjoyable reading, but it did leave me nothing.
It has got an easy plot, some sex, some loose points in the way characters and plot are handled It has a quite flat style that goes well with the straighforward plot and characters I didn t enjoy much the sex scene at the end, mainly cause it was clear the story was heading that way since pag 2 and it made the story feel like an excuse to get there instead of being the natural completion of the events.
And I don t think I ve anything to say about this To sum up cute but forgetable short story I received this ebook from NetGalley in change of an honest review.
î Like Stolen Pearls ¸ I enjoyed this for the most part Although it s a short story, I felt that I had read a whole story rather than a snapshot of the character s life The story is about a Knight who sets off on a quest to stop a witch from giving children nightmares The witch continues to evade her to the extent that it gets a bit ridiculous The middle of the story is too drawn out for my liking mostly because the delay is due to the Knight being pathetically in love but other than that it s an interesting story and premise The writing and descriptions are good and I found it an engaging read I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review At best eh Bridget is fresh out of training and has yet to be tested Her first test destroy the witch, Sylvaine, that s given children nightmares Bridget get thwarted at every turn, but she s captivated by Syvaine This is a tough review to write It wasn t a bad story, but it wasn t mind blowing either It was a decent plot, albeit a simple one There s nothing wrong with a cat and mouse chase, but eh It was a short story, so it s easy to finish in one day It starts off slow, but it slowly picks up It wasn t the worse book I ve ever read, but it wasn t the best either.
This is a new to me author, that took me pleasantly by surprise I found the plot, the concept of the story intriguing Not what I am use to reading but maybe that is why I found it so engaging It is well written, descriptive in all the right places.
well, almost The only thing that fell short for me was the sex scene This, contains some explicit content , led me to believe it would be a lot steamier But then my idea of what explicit is, might be different to others I have been reading erotica for a long time I recommend this story to people who like reading about Witches and Demoms, with a touch of lady love thrown in NB It was a pleasure to read such a well edited story ARC reviewed from publisher, via NetGalley This is a short, easy read Bridgit is a good lead character young, eager to prove herself, yet striving with her conscience I have to admit her naivety regarding Sylvaine grew irritating the longer it went on Yes, clearly there is something not right about the way Sylvaine appears and the way she s actually acting, but Bridgit almost gets stupider each time they meet.
Because this is so short and is made up of repeated meetings between these two, there is a repetitive feel, since it s obvious how each encounter will end well, obvious to everyone but Bridgit anyway yet it s also quick and quite sweet Bridgit is so earnest that even when she annoyed me I still wanted her to find a way through the mess.
Sweet, quick and cute, this is a good example of what this collection has to offer I might have liked to have got to know Sylvaine a little better, but since this only took an hour
